Dear Families of St. Michael Academy,
I hope that you are all well and enjoyed the long weekend with your families.
With the first day of school just around the corner we know that there are challenges, changes and perhaps some uncertainty. But there is also hope, friendships and a community that awaits us. Together we will persevere with courage! We wish all of our students, whether returning in person or remotely a successful, healthy and happy school year!
Earlier this week we met as a staff to continue to discuss and implement the ‘Re-Entry plan for our school. As we navigate the first few weeks, we may see changes and we will advise you as we encounter the need to adapt or re-adjust for the safety of our students and community.
We are continuing to create classes. At this time, I am unable to messenger your child’s class/teacher. If we are able to complete this in the next day, I will send it out to our families.
I have tried to capture as much information to assist you with the re-entry of our students. As more information becomes available or items require updates I will communicate this to you.
I encourage you to continue to visit ycdsb.ca “Re-Entry” plans for updates and resources. Please visit our school website: sml.ycdsb.ca and twitter: @smlycdsb
Thank you for your patience. “Let’s give this school year the opportunity to be awesome. Don’t throw a label or judgement on it before it begins. It may just surprise us in big, beautiful ways.”
Sincerely,
Dayna Fitzpatrick Principal
