Dear York Catholic District School Board Families,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Sarna has agreed to serve in the position of Interim Director of Education, effective immediately, while Director of Education John De Faveri is on a leave of absence.
Most recently, Jennifer has served as the Associate Director for the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB), leading and supporting all aspects of the Academic components (School Leadership, School Superintendents, Curriculum and Student Services) of the organization, while developing and overseeing the Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) and policy review and revisions. Jennifer has been with the YCDSB for over 30 years, occupying a succession of roles within the organization, including teacher, vice principal, principal, superintendent of education and associate director of education.
The Board of Trustees is confident that Jennifer has the experience and leadership to guide the YCDSB at this time and ensure we continue to be a leader in publicly funded Catholic education.
